After more than 30 years working with enterprise software vendors and their customers, I am leveraging my experience to help people as an independent consultant.

I draw upon my career that spans Databases, Data Management, System Management, App Dev and IT Operations but I am now primarily focused on Data Management. Starting life as a coder I have deep technical experience but also have significant experience in Executive Management roles. My last position was at Precisely where I was the Chief Product Officer with responsibility for the company’s product strategy and oversaw all of the technical, customer-facing departments; Pre-Sales Engineers, Post-Sales Engineering, Customer Support and Product Management.

During my career I have partnered with PE teams and I have solid acquisition experience from M&A discovery through post-deal integration.

My passion is building strategies that work because they are based on an understanding of customer needs and goals. That could mean I simply help an investor understand a technology or market space they are considering buying into. Or it could mean that I help a product management team set the right course from formulating a strategy to executing best practices.
